High School Curriculum
Some courses can be taken in any sequence but others must be in a required sequential order, e.g. Algebra I and Algebra II.
Academic Progress
- Students in 9th grade must earn a minimum of 9 credits to be classified as 10th graders
- Students in 10th grade must have a minimum of 17 credits to be classified as juniors.
- Students in 11th grade must earn 26 credits to graduate.
State of Florida Requirements
- 4 credits in Math
- 4 credits in English
- 3 credits in Science
- 3 credits in Social Studies
- 1 Fine Art
- 1 Physical Education
- 8 Electives
Garden of Sahaba Requirements:
- 3 credits in Arabic
- 3 credits in Quran
- 3 credits in Islamic Studies which will count towards elective requirement for high school graduation.
Students who have completed three years are eligible to take the CLEP exam through their university for college credit.
Dual Enrollment
Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible to participate in the dual enrollment program. In this program, students have the opportunity to earn a high school credit and college credit simultaneously. Students are eligible to enroll at FAU or PBSC for the Dual Enrollment program. Students will take classes online while attending GSA, and a schedule will be made accordingly so that the student is fulfilling his required coursework to graduate from GSA.
Note: GSA’s objective is to offer in school face to face classes to our students. The only exception is to offer one online course as required by the state graduation requirement.
